Mango House, Milano

Interior | Renovation

Fun apartment in a late 19th century building completely renovated and furnished in order to become a welcoming home with short-term rentals. On entering you find yourself surrounded by mango-colored walls, almost as if you were right inside the fruit itself. This colour dominates the kitchen and dining area while a two-tone velvet curtain separates this from the living area. Concrete floors were colored with a light shade, which in the living area rises up to one metre in the vertical wall. Minimalist and designer furniture was sought in various markets and online auctions, such as the tubular floor lamp by Kartell. The lighting in the bedroom and above the round kitchen table is Louis Poulsen. In the bathroom, however, the red/burgundy color is reminiscent of the peel of the mango when fully ripe.
